I am so proud of my people! The same is struck, the same who took the sea ... when half of Chile goes down, the other half is responsible for lifting!
Despite being one of the cities hardest hit by the earthquake, I saw firsthand how dozens (and I can venture to say hundreds) of people approached the bank to make its contribution. Some were checks, some donated a ticket, others arrived with containers filled with coins. Even the most humble person came to help.
I'm excited we can do, even when we are empty handed and wounded soul.
With this you can build a good amount of basic housing, but are not mansions or anything like that let alone definitive, really are a help when you see that your house is on the floor and suddenly you on the street.
So now we have to continue to make, there is still much to collect, classify and spread, as much for re-build but I have faith that we will raise!
